Creation of Two Higher Vocational Education Institutes (ISEP)

Feasibility study of a project to support the creation of two Higher Vocational Education Institutes (ISEP)

This study aimed to launch the feasibility of a project meant to support the establishment of two Institutes of Higher Vocational Education (ISEP) with an agro-food vocation in the North (Richard-Toll, St-Louis Region,) and South (Niamone, Ziguinchor Region) of the country. The ISEPs are dedicated to the training of high-level technicians (BAC +2).

This study evaluated the labor market needs for high-level technicians, more specifically in the agro-food sector.

Lessons were drawn from the experience of the first ISEP that was implemented in Senegal (in Thies), and were taken into account when applicable during the planning of the new ISEPs.

The study also examined sizing of the future ISEPs, the programs that they would offer and the cost of infrastructure, equipment and technical assistance that would be required. A logical framework and implementation recommendations were also included in the report.
