Technological Improvements to Increase the Efficiency of Tax Administration

Implementation of electronic services to enable technological improvements to increase efficiency of tax administration

The Taxpayer Registry constitutes the gateway and first dataset of centralized taxpayer information for all tax processes.

The first part of the project aimed at evaluating the level of quality and maturity of the taxpayer registry data, reviewing registration legal and regulatory framework, processes and forms to diagnostic how data is collected, updated and maintained, and how it compared to modern trends and practices.

The second part of the project aimed at presenting pragmatic recommendations to improve the current situation and implement new practices such as the electronic fiscal domicile. The recommendations were then validated with the Tax Department’s representatives and organized into a roadmap with a schedule, milestones and risk register.
