Outline

Business Process Mapping and Development for Solomon Islands Inland Revenue Division

Description

C2D conducted a Business Process Mapping and Development project in the Solomon Islands, assisting the Inland Revenue Division (SIIRD) in their effort to improve the efficiency of tax administration, increase tax compliance, and expand and protect the nation's revenue base.

There were two stages to this assignment: The first stage called for C2D to undertake a stocktake and document SIIRD's internal processes relating to its core role of revenue collection, processing tax returns, conducting audits in various tax categories and managing vehicle and driver licensing. C2D submitted recommendations aiming to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.

The second stage of the assignment provided for C2D to support the SIIRD in the implementation of the recommendations that were submitted during the first stage, in line with SIIRD’s strategic guidelines and priorities.
