Lucie Lalancette holds a master's degree and a doctorate in educational sciences, including a comparative education speciality on contextualized knowledge development and the appropriation of science and technology.
She has worked for the Quebec education system and universities, as a teacher and professional researcher. As a consultant, she has supported the Ministry of Education in the design of tools to manage and monitor one of the most important reforms in the Education sector.
For more than 25 years, she has been contributing to the design and implementation of international development initiatives. She has led projects funded by various bilateral and multilateral donors, as part of reforms to education and vocational and technical training systems, particularly in the Caribbean, the Maghreb, and sub-Saharan Africa.
She has supported sector-based studies, contributed to education and vocational training policies, developed plans for educational and managerial reforms, and accompanied the deployment of organizational and human resource capacity. She has held positions as sector director and vice president in the private sector, where she managed business units and multidisciplinary work teams.
