Implementation of Electronic Taxpayer Services for Business Licences, and Upgrade of the Tax Software’s Technical Platform

C2D is leading a consortium that is designing and delivering an electronic taxpayer services (e-Services) platform to the Inland Revenue Department of the Turks and Caicos Islands. The e-Services platform will enable taxpayers to apply for and renew their Business Licences over the Internet. This application and payment facility will ensure that all pertinent forms are available for users to complete online, that the pertinent rate is automatically applied according to the business category, and that all necessary supporting documents are submitted electronically by the taxpayer. The e-Services platform will reduce the cost of compliance for the business community, while increasing process efficiency and securing revenue collection for the State.

Moreover, the project includes the comprehensive migration of the Client’s Standard Integrated Government Tax Administration System (SIGTAS) platform from Oracle® 6i to 11g.

Ultimately, the Inland Revenue Department is aiming to optimize the administration of the country's revenue by capitalizing on modern and efficient practices.
