C2D is delivering an assignment in support of the Permanent Inter-State Committee for the Fight against Drought in the Sahel (CILSS), on behalf of Africa Lead, whose mission is to strengthen the capacity of leaders to implement country investment plans, within the framework of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program of NEPAD (The New Partnership for Africa's Development).
C2D’s assignment aims to assess the potential organizational impact following the implementation of a computerized system for program monitoring and evaluation. The assessment enables the CILSS to identify the risks and constraints associated with this implementation, in order to secure their comprehensive management. C2D is also carrying out a knowledge mapping exercise, to monitor how knowledge evolves and how information is treated within the organization, and thereby identify strengths, weaknesses, constraints and opportunities associated with knowledge management. Finally, C2D is drafting the list of business requirements for the forthcoming monitoring and evaluation platform, based on best practices and in light of the specific requirements of CILSS users in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
