Support to the « Institut National de Formation Professionnelle (INFP) » in establishing a typology of public vocational training centres
In an effort to develop an efficient and high-quality system of technical and vocational training, reaching both the strategic development objectives of the sub-sector and the objective of economic growth, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training has mandated its collaborators to implement all actions and activities necessary to the achievement of this goal. This constitutes one of the main priorities of the 2010-2015 Operational Plan for overhaul of the educational sector in Haiti.
It is in this context that Group C2D Services-CRAIE-FQDE provides technical assistance, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). This mandate is being carried out over a period of four months. A team of experts has been mobilized to accompany the « Institut National de Formation Professionnelle (INFP) ». The actions being undertaken are the following: 1) establish a typology of the public vocational training centres, based on the range and levels of skills that are in demand on the labour market; 2) propose a configuration of training programs for each type of vocational training center; 3) propose a spatial distribution of these various types of centres.
